Explore the natural beauty of the islands with local guides and relax on the beach next to crystal waters.
Get to know the French Polynesian culture firsthand with cultural excursions and workshops with locals.
Enjoy meals made with local, fresh and organic products, and learn local cooking secrets.
Sharpen your language skills through immersion and gain confidence by practising in real-life interactions. You will be accompanied by
a teacher from Alliance Francaise to further help you in your language acquisition.
The program is a 12-day all-inclusive package: accommodation, meals, French classes, daily activities, transportation on Moorea and Tahiti.
The package does not include flights or travel insurance.
Monday 14 - Saturday 26 April (Brisbane time).
Please note that the time zone in French Polynesia is GMT-10. The local dates of the trip are Monday 14 - Friday 25 April.
During the trip, you will complete a 24-hour French course (3 hours of French lessons per day, for 8 days). Classes are taught in a casual
environment, through interactive techniques (conversation, games, music), incorporating elements of the local culture.
Class groups are determined according to the participants' levels, from beginners to advanced. French is spoken at all times
(exceptions are made for beginners when needed, and when activities require further explanations e.g. safety rules).
Teachers are experienced and certified in FLE (Français Langue Etrangère / French as a Foreign Language). You will also be
accompanied on the trip by a qualified teacher from Alliance Francaise.
Throughout your stay, you will be immersed in Polynesian culture, with various workshops including Polynesian dance, music, arts, crafts and cooking sessions.
Island exploration activities are on offer every day after your lessons, including beach days, snorkelling, local markets, accessible hikes on lush valleys, museum visits, lagoon tours and more!
All meals are included in the package. The cuisine is made with local, fresh, and organic products. Includes meals at the accommodation as well as picnics, food trucks and restaurant visits (one restaurant is located on an islet!).
During the stay, you will also participate in a themed local evening (with dance and music, and a buffet featuring specialty discoveries) and meals prepared with all participants.
"Fare Om is more than an accommodation place on Moorea island, it's an easy-going community where hosts and guests share moments together."
10 nights of the trip will be spent at Fare Om on Moorea, located between the two bays of Cook and Opunohu. Fare Om is a family guesthouse which can accommodate up to 25 people. Individual, double and shared (4-bed rooms) are available (details and prices below). All rooms are equipped with mosquito nets and fans.
For the final night of your stay, you will be staying on Tahiti at Kon Tiki Polynesian Cabins. Conveniently located near the ferry port, it is an ideal location to easily transfer by boat from Moorea.
During your stay there is a free afternoon on the Thursday, as well as a free day on the second Sunday.
During free time, you have the option to choose from a range of recreational and relaxation activities, which are offered to the
program participants at a discounted rate. These include scuba diving, rope courses, canoeing, cycling, surf lessons, massages and
more.
